Throughout his career, David has worked in multiple barbershops, allowing him to develop a diverse skill set and gain experience with a wide range of hair types, styles, and techniques. After relocating from New Jersey, he sought an environment that shared his commitment to professionalism, customer service, and creating a welcoming experience for every client who walked through the door. He found that home at The Men's Grooming Studio.

Deeply dedicated to his craft, Manny specializes in modern barbering techniques, precision fades, beard grooming, and personalized styles tailored to each client's individual needs. He is constantly working to refine his skills and stay current with evolving trends while maintaining the fundamentals of quality barbering that build long-term client relationships.

Fluent in Spanish and continuously improving his English, Manny takes pride in connecting with a diverse clientele and ensuring every guest feels comfortable, understood, and valued. John Carlo aka Jay.

North Fork native John Carlo, better known as Jay, has dedicated more than 24 years to the professional beauty and barbering industry. Beginning his career as a hairstylist before discovering his true passion for barbering, Jay has built a reputation as one of the most respected professionals, educators, innovators, and business leaders in the men's grooming industry.

Throughout his career, Jay has opened and operated eight salons and barbershops, trained and mentored more than 1,000 barbers and stylists, and launched multiple men's grooming product lines. His commitment to education and professional development led him to become a nationally recognized educator, traveling to 19 countries and 48 states sharing his knowledge of barbering, men's grooming, business development, and professional growth.

A former WAHL Educator and current Artistic Director of Education for StyleCraft | Gamma+, Jay has worked alongside some of the most respected names in the industry while helping shape the next generation of barbers and educators. Few professionals have influenced as many barbers both behind the chair and in the classroom as Jay throughout his 24-year career. His contributions to the profession have earned him recognition in numerous industry publications, educational platforms, trade shows, and educational events around the world.

Further solidifying his impact on the industry, Jay is named as an inventor on the patent for the WAHL Hi-Viz Trimmer—one of the most recognized professional trimmers in modern barbering. His involvement in product development reflects a deep understanding of both the technical and practical demands of professional grooming tools.

Known for his expertise in precision barbering, fades, beard grooming, advanced cutting techniques, textured hair, and barber education, Jay combines technical skill with decades of real-world experience behind the chair. Whether working with longtime clients, mentoring professionals, consulting with brands, or educating on stage, his passion remains the same: helping people look their best while elevating the barbering industry as a whole.

Today, Jay proudly serves the Long Island community as the owner of The Men's Grooming Studio in Ronkonkoma, New York, where he continues to provide exceptional grooming services while fostering a culture built on professionalism, education, leadership, and family.
